Publishing and sharing
Publish and share a 3D model
Publishing is explicit: a private model becomes link-accessible only after you publish it.
Before publishing
Wait for ready status, open the version to deliver, and review framing, lighting, materials, animations and points of interest. Save changes before publication.
- A quarantined or unvalidated file is never served.
- Saving is not publishing.
- A public link is not authenticated access or DRM.
Publish and verify
Publish from model access controls, then copy the provided link.
Choose the version
Confirm that the active version is the one your client should see.
Publish explicitly
Use Publish; do not infer public state merely from a working preview.
Test without a session
Open the link in a private window and inspect model, navigation and visible content.
Share
Send the link after verification. Recipients need no account for a public model.
Unpublish
Unpublishing removes public access to the model manifest. Test the old link without a session afterwards. Versioned files can use immutable caching, while the revalidated public manifest remains the access authority.
