DevXR accepts the FBX as a private source. The worker converts it to GLB, validates the result and only exposes the processed GLB to the viewer.

The workflow in 4 steps

  1. 01

    Export from Mixamo

Download the animated character as an FBX file. Keep the source below the project upload limit.

  2. 02

    Create a DevXR project

Sign in with a verified account, create a project and start a model import.

  3. 03

    Let DevXR prepare it

The isolated worker converts the FBX to GLB, then applies the existing model validation pipeline.

  4. 04

    Review before sharing

Check the scale, materials, skeleton and animation clip in Studio before publishing the validated result.

FBX source

Use the FBX export as your delivery file

Download the character or animation you need as FBX. Include the mesh and skin when the character must travel with the clip. DevXR does not connect to your Mixamo account and never publishes the source FBX.

Before you import

  • The file is an FBX and stays below 100 MB.
  • The expected mesh, skin and animation are present in the export.
  • The converted character has the right scale and orientation.
  • Every required animation clip plays correctly before publication.

Frequently asked questions

Can DevXR open a Mixamo FBX in the browser?

DevXR first converts the authenticated FBX import to a validated GLB. The browser viewer loads that GLB, not the original FBX.

Are Mixamo animations preserved?

The conversion pipeline attempts to preserve armatures, skinning and animation clips. Always review the processed model because compatibility can vary with the source file.

Can I upload without an account?

No. FBX conversion is available inside an authenticated, verified Studio account and project. There is no anonymous conversion endpoint.

Can I share the result?

Yes, after processing succeeds. Publishing is explicit and shares the validated GLB through the DevXR viewer.
